Traditional Brick Extension

Quickbase is not just for conservatories, Quickbase has been extensively used for foundations on traditional brick, block and tile structures.

The fully engineered nature of Quickbase ensures approval from local authority building control, even in areas of complex clay subsoils, or landfill sites.

In this case study, Quickbase was chosen due to the speed of installation, and to cope with the clay soils and local trees on the site. The piles were driven to 4.5m which is beyond the zone of influence to give surety that the extension would be unaffected in the event of heave. The Quickbase beams were installed with anti-heave protection to finish off the project. The builder was onsite laying the first brick course on day two of the project.
